ASHLEY DYLENSKI, ESQ.
Ashley Dylenski represents individuals in civil litigation with a focus on employment law, civil rights, education law, and constitutional claims. She is committed to helping clients navigate complex legal disputes with thoughtful advocacy, meticulous preparation, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Before joining Abdnour Weiker, Ashley worked with the New York State Office of the Attorney General's Civil Rights Bureau, where she conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on matters involving housing discrimination, workers' rights, and environmental justice. She also represented immigrant children through the Safe Passage Project and supported the expansion of Neighborhood Defender Service's Detroit office. More recently, Ashley has volunteered with the Michigan Advocacy Program, representing clients in criminal expungement proceedings and helping individuals remove barriers to employment, housing, and educational opportunities through Michigan's Clean Slate laws.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ashley spent a decade as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in the New York City public schools, teaching hundreds of students from immigrant and multilingual communities. Her years in education continue to shape her legal practice, giving her a unique ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly, build trust with clients, and advocate effectively for individuals facing difficult circumstances.
Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as a Staff Editor for the Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice and published a scholarly article examining immigration law and constitutional principles.
Outside the office, Ashley enjoys building Lego creations her son, gardening, and playing chess.
