SARA DAGHER, ESQ.

Sara practices employment law and civil rights statewide in Michigan. She handles employment litigation, representing clients subject to workplace discrimination, and civil rights, representing students and professors subject to retaliation for their political expression. In her pro bono practice, Sara represents students, professors, and employees subject to repression and retaliation for their political speech, particularly in support of Palestinian rights.

Sara represents students and professors in university disciplinary hearings and civil rights lawsuits against their institutions. She is a member of the National Lawyers Guild’s Detroit and Michigan chapter.

In law school, Sara was a Peggy Browning Fellow. During her Fellowship, she worked at a legal aid where she expunged clients’ criminal records to expand their work opportunities. She also worked at civil rights nonprofits including the Center for Constitutional Rights and Palestine Legal, where she researched the right to boycott, tracked repressive anti-boycott legislation, and supported civil rights litigation.
